BVM School’s New Pre K 3 and the 4-year-old program is academically driven.
Lessons in Religion, Math, Reading, Penmanship, and integrating Science and Social Studies are taught in addition to Early Childhood skills and Special Classes.
All of the students in BVM School have an account with Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Classroom, and Google Calendar.
We begin our students on the path of Common Core, a set of clear college-ready and career-ready standards for kindergarten through 12th grade, which is designed to ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to take credit-bearing introductory courses in two- or four-year college programs or enter the workforce.
BVM School offers students the use of: various technologies including i-pads and Chromebooks, the Computer lab, the Science lab, and the First in Math Program.
BVM School also offers the CYO sports of Basketball and Track. As well as Bell Choir, Vocal Choir, Altar Servers, and Outreach programs.
BVM School, Darby is rooted in the IHM Sisters/ charism, with the continuing help, service, and presence of the Religious Sisters and a dedicated lay faculty and staff, our school is a model of Catholic morals, values, and standards. Students also participate in Liturgical services, Religious Enrichment classes, Sacramental Preparation, and charitable outreach projects and programs, that show our students how to love and serve others as God has taught. At our school, Jesus is the Center and Mary is the model.
Growth in Christian morals, values, and teachings are encouraged additionally through our Peacemaker and Person Respecting Others (PRO) programs.
Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) provides services for Reading, Math and Speech, Psychological/Educational Testing, and Counseling. BVM also offers an Instructional Support Team (IST), AM and PM CARES program (before and aftercare), Tuition Assistance, and Breakfast and Lunch programs.
